One of the people former WWE Superstar-turned-UFC fighter CM Punk ripped on the most recently was Ryback and "The Big Guy" appeared on Chris Jericho's Talk is Jericho podcast to respond.

Punk appeared on Colt Cabana's Art of Wrestling podcast and revealed the reasons that led to his WWE departure back in January. The "Best in the World" then ripped on Ryback and said he was a "steroid guy" who was dangerous in the ring and took "20 years off of my career."

Ryback appeared on Jericho's show this week and offered a retort.

"I went and heard part of it," Ryback told Jericho of Punk's podcast appearance, according to Wrestlingheadlines.com. Punk was always good to me when he was here and I felt I was good to him. He was never like that to my face and I felt we always had good matches for the most part on the live events. To leave and say the things he said, I try not to take anything personal anymore. So whatever he's going through, if he feels the need to say that, I can tell you it's not true."

Jericho said that he liked working with Ryback and didn't see the things in him that Punk claimed to see. Ryback said if he was such a dangerous worker, the WWE wouldn't let him near its top stars.

"It's one of those things, it's like, come on man," Ryback said. "I don't understand if it's a personal thing with me. I don't know but I have no ill feeling towards the guy, I wish him the best."

Ryback also said he was happy for Punk for trying something new in UFC and added he was sorry for the botched table spot at TLC last year that Punk talked about on the podcast.

Ryback also denied the fact that Punk came up to him and asked if he was stupid as he said that didn't and would never happen. He also said he holds no grudge against Punk.

Ryback also thanked fans for their support about his podcast appearance on Twitter:

Regarding Punk joining UFC, WWE Hall of Famer Mick Foley shared his thoughts on his official Facebook page.

"A BOLD CHOICE FOR PUNK," Foley wrote.

He added: "I've been asked quite a bit over the past several days for my opinion on CM Punk's decision to sign with UFC. I applaud it. While I have no idea how Punk will fare with top level MMA competitors, I do know that no one will out-train him or out-work him, and that, whether he wins or loses, succeeds or fails, he's likely to be responsible for a few incredible PPV buy-rates - which had been a cause of concern for him since the dawning of the #WWENetwork...which, last time I checked was only $9.99 a month."

He continued: "Just as importantly, #CMPunk won't end up sitting on his couch 10 years from now, muttering the two dirtiest words in the English language: 'what if'?"

It's unknown when Punk will start his UFC career, but he has been training and said during his media blitz this week that he may be ready by late 2015.

Punk also said there were talks of having him starting out on The Ultimate Fighter reality show, but nothing is confirmed.
