It has been a good week for DeMarco Murray, who is recovering from hand surgery and looks likely to play on Sunday against the Indianapolis Colts, and he was just nominated for an award. The Cowboys named Murray as their nominee for the Walter Payton Man of the Year Award on Thursday.

Murray Ignoring Cheating Scandal

Of course, the elephant in the room with that announcement is the scandal hanging over Murray for the last several weeks that alleges that Murray has been sleeping with the wife of his former teammate. Spoiler alert: after the Cowboys posted the announcement on the team's Twitter feed, fans had a grand old time with it.

The announcement comes as a bit of a shock, as there are several other Cowboys players having great seasons that are not currently accused of committing adultery (and Murray's affair with Brennan Clay's wife also means that Murray was cheating on his own significant other, who is also the mother of his child).

Some of the reactions just alluded to the scandal.

Some were clever about it.

And some people told everyone how they really feel.
