Evan Turner never lived up to the hype he garnered as a top NBA draft pick for the Philadelphia 76ers, and the fans certainly let him know how they feel about it. When the Boston Celtics traveled to Philadelphia for a recent game, the fans booed Turner repeatedly throughout the contest.

According to media reports, Turner spoke very highly of himself after the game.

"Before the game I signed like 100,000 autographs, I'm kissing babies and what not and all that stuff," said Turner. "I'm getting my hand kissed by people; I got little girls come up to me fainting."

Turner seemed confused that the same people would boo him while he was playing, apparently forgetting that Philadelphia fans have a reputation for booing just about anything. "Once the game started, it was like, 'what the hell is going on?'" Turner continued. "I was like, 'this is weird. Did they take all the good people out?"

In fairness, the Sixers did spend the second overall pick on Turner, only to see him fail to live up to expectations before he moved on to Boston.

"I don't worry about it anymore," Turner said of the crowd's reaction. "I don't want to sound super weird, but Jesus was hated too. At the end of the day, I just worry about the stuff that's important. If it makes you happy to boo me, go ahead. I'm still happy. I put all that stuff behind me."

The Celtics won the game 105-87.
