According to ESPN, Charles Jennings, an employee of cargo transportation company Intermodal Cartage Group was charged with theft after driving away in a truck that contained 7,500 pairs of Cleveland Cavaliers star LeBron James' LeBron 12 Nike shoes.

The shoes that Jennings stole are worth approximately $1.5 million in retail value.

Per the report, Jennings used his ID card to gain access to a secure lot and then drove away with the truck containing the shoes.

Jennings is free on $75,000 bond and Shelby County Sheriff's Office assistant chief Mark Dunbar said that he will next appear in court after the New Year.

After the truck was reported missing, the Memphis Auto Task Force was able to recover the vehicle and arrested Jennings on Nov. 14. The story first came to light on Monday.

Jennings had been selling the shoes for about a week and when he was found, approximately 700 pairs were missing.

"He had a pretty good idea what he had," Dunbar said via ESPN. "They were Nikes and they were more valuable in that they hadn't been released yet."

Jennings admitted to stealing the truck in a recorded interview following being captured.

While things are crazy off the court, everything has been clicking for James and the Cavaliers on it lately.

Cleveland rattled off eight straight victories from Nov. 24 through this past Tuesday, though the streak was snapped last time out against the Oklahoma City Thunder on Thursday.

The Cavaliers are 13-8 this season and sit atop the NBA's Central Division.
