Week 14 is headlined by two showdowns with major playoff implications. All lines are according to Vegas Insider. Home teams are listed in CAPS.
Dallas (-3.5) over CHICAGO: Chicago struggles at home, and Dallas is great on the road. Look for both running games to have success.
DeMarco Murray Scandal Could Land AP In Dallas
MIAMI (-3) over Baltimore: I think Miami makes the playoffs, and they need to win this game to do that.
CINCINNATI (-3) over Pittsburgh: Say what you will about Andy Dalton, but he's pretty good at home.
Indianapolis (-3.5) over CLEVELAND: Cue up Johnny Manziel's entrance music.
Houston (-5) over JACKSONVILLE
NY Giants (PK) over TENNESSEE
NEW ORLEANS (-9.5) over Carolina: I have no idea what's happening in the NFC South, but it seems pretty clear that Carolina is terrible this year.
DETROIT (-9.5) over Tampa Bay: Detroit's defense should have a field day in this matchup.
St. Louis (-3) over WASHINGTON
NY Jets (+6) over MINNESOTA
DENVER (-9.5) over Buffalo: Look for Denver to make a strong push for the top seed, and they will take no chances on missing out in case the Patriots slip up.
Seahawks Not Concerned About Philly's Tempo
Kansas City (+1) over ARIZONA: The Chiefs are in desperation mode as far as making the playoffs goes, and I think this is the week that everyone realizes that Arizona will miss the postseason.
San Francisco (-8) over OAKLAND: If the 49ers can't dominate this Oakland team, then they won't make the playoffs either.
PHILADELPHIA (-1) over Seattle: Shady McCoy has looked good recently, which has the Philly offense operating at max efficiency. I still think the Seattle defense will play well, but an underrated Philadelphia defense will make the difference in this game.
New England (-3.5) over SAN DIEGO: Philip Rivers looked like an MVP candidate again last week, but San Diego's defense has too many weaknesses to slow down this Patriots attack.
GREEN BAY (-12.5) over Atlanta: Atlanta's only non-division win was over the post-Palmer Cardinals. Green Bay has shredded bad teams at Lambeau. I'm not sure they could make this line high enough.
