Heath Slater and the WWE have both responded to the claims of an alleged incident where the WWE Superstar attacked a woman at the WrestleMania XXVII after party in 2011.
Atlanta police issued a warrant for Slater's arrest Wednesday stemming from an incident that a woman by the name of Corrine Oliver alleges happened at a hotel after the 2011 edition of the Show of Shows concluded at the Georgia Dome.
Oliver, who was working security, claims that Slater, whose real name is Heath Miller, put her in a chokehold and tried to drag her into an elevator to head to his room at the Hyatt Regency. Oliver further claims that the alleged attack caused damage to five vertebrae in her back.
Slater took to his official Twitter account to deny these claims.
"The charges & civil suit brought against me are completely frivolous," Slater tweeted. "I am innocent and these charges will be dismissed as soon as any judge hears the evidence. My attorney Don Samuel will handle this matter."
Oliver claimed that several WWE Superstars saw the incident, but did nothing to help her.

The WWE, which distanced itself from the incident in its original statement similar to when WWE Diva Emma was arrested for shoplifting at Wal-Mart, opted to issue another release in the midst of the controversy.
"WWE has been advised that a misdemeanor arrest warrant has been issued against Heath Miller (aka Heath Slater), but we have not seen a copy or been provided with the underlying charges," the company issued in a statement. "Once this information is received by WWE, we will take the appropriate action."
It remains to be seen how this will all play out, but for now Slater is claiming his innocence.
Slater has been a part of the WWE since 2006, but it remains to be seen how the company will react when more light is shed on the alleged incident.
