WWE World Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar has been pulled from next week's Monday Night RAW after previously being advertised for it.

Backstage Rumors and Updated Card For TLC: Tables Ladders and Chairs

Wrestlingheadlines.com reports that the WWE has pulled Lesnar from appearing at the flagship show after he was originally slated to make an appearance.

Lesnar was booked for the Dec. 8 RAW from Greenville, S.C., but the company lifted his name from the ad for it from WWE.com this week.

The Bon Secours Wellness Arena in Greenville has also pulled Lesnar from advertisements for next Monday's show, which will be driven by the Slammy Awards.

The WWE pulling Lesnar comes in the wake of the company announcing a John Cena vs. Seth Rollins Tables Match for TLC: Tables, Ladders and Chairs on Dec. 14 at the Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland where if Cena loses he will no longer be the No. 1 contender for Lesnar's gold.

There was talk of the WWE possibly having Lesnar face Cena at TLC, but with the company opting to go with Cena vs. Rollins, that is the likely reason why Lesnar was pulled since he will no longer be needed to hype the TLC event the following Sunday.

It's likely that Lesnar vs. Cena will instead take place at the Royal Rumble on Jan. 25 at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, meaning that Cena will likely defeat Rollins at TLC.

Cena has been advertised to appear in the Royal Rumble match by the Wells Fargo Center's website, but it will likely be corrected and was probably done so as not to spoil the planned Lesnar vs. Cena match.

Cena vs. Lesnar has occurred twice this year, with "The Beast" topping the "Cenation" leader at SummerSlam in August to win the belt and then losing to him via DQ due to outside interference from Rollins at Night of Champions in September, which was Lesnar's last bout with the company.

TLC will likely mark the third straight pay-per-view and WWE Network special that Lesnar will miss as the WWE World Heavyweight Champion was absent for Hell in a Cell in October, Survivor Series in November and now TLC this month.

Lesnar will be brought back into storylines in January to build toward the Royal Rumble and likely his rumored title defense against Seth Rollins at WrestleMania 31 on March 29 at Levi's Stadium in the Bay Area.

While it seemed as though the champion would finally return to WWE television next month, the WWE is saving Lesnar's comeback for a later date.
