Part-time WWE Superstar Chris Jericho recently posted a video in which he responds to CM Punk appearing on Colt Cabana's Art of Wrestling podcast after Punk had alluded to Jericho trying to get him on his podcast after he walked out on the WWE.

Jericho posted the video backstage at a venue in Dallas and said that he wanted to share his thoughts on what Punk said.
During the podcast with Cabana, Punk said that Jericho had contacted him to appear on his own Talk is Jericho podcast on Podcastone.com, but Punk gave the impression to Cabana that he thought Jericho was only interested in an appearance to get more publicity for his show.

Jericho responded to Punk's comments and said he was surprised about what Punk had to say about him.
"I wanted to address the very controversial statements made by CM Punk on the Colt Cabana podcast," Jericho said. "If you haven't heard it, go check it out it's very, very revealing I guess you'd say. Punk had some things to say about me and I'll preface that by saying Punk and I are very good friends. I always considered him to be one of my better friends in the wrestling business, so I was a little surprised by what he said, although I hadn't talked to him in a long time, since February."
Punk walked out on the WWE in January and finally revealed all of the reasons behind his decision to leave the company 10 months later on Cabana's podcast. Jericho said that he did ask Punk to be on his podcast, but not after he left the company.
"But the one thing is, I never asked him to do my podcast after he quit the WWE," Jericho said. "I did ask him to do the podcast -- that is true -- but it was back in December when I first started it. We actually had a date planned, Dec. 18 to do the podcast, I was gonna be in a studio in Tampa [and] call him and then he pulled out and said he didn't have anything good to say about wrestling and wasn't excited about wrestling. I said, 'Well, let's just talk about comic books or whatever,' and he didn't want to do it, so that was cool."
Jericho said that he did contact Punk after he left the WWE, but it wasn't about the podcast.
"After he left the WWE in [January], I texted him a few times to see how he was doing and to see what was up...I never once asked him to do the podcast after he left the WWE in [January]. In January, the WWE asked him if he wanted to do my podcast because I had given them a list of names of guys that I wanted, going through the protocol and going through the office and once again he wasn't into doing the podcast which is cool."
He added: "But yeah after he left, I just sent him a couple of texts about different things, really nothing to do with wrestling. So, that's kind of the deal. I think other people might have been prodding him to try to get information from him, but I never did that. Once again, I never asked him to do the podcast after he left the WWE. Still, I have no ill will towards Punk, still consider him to be a close friend and went through some wars with the guy and I'll explain all of this more on Talk is Jericho this Wednesday."
Lastly, Jericho signed off by saying that he was fine with what Punk did and there were no other problems.
"Thumbs up to Punk, I'm glad he got to vent," he said. "But I definitely did not have an agenda because I never asked him to do the podcast after he left the WWE, nor did I ever ask him any questions about why he left. That was his business and his business only, but I kind of had some feelings as to why he did it because I went through the same thing in 2005 when I left the WWE for two and a half years, so I'll explain all of this and more on Talk is Jericho this week."
