Since tomorrow features a smorgasbord of food and football, it seemed right to post the picks today. Lines are according to Vegas Insider. Home Teams are listed in CAPS.

DETROIT (-7) over Chicago: I think Detroit's defense harasses Smokin' Jay Cutler into one of his trademark terrible days.

Philadelphia (+3) over DALLAS: In a matchup of two elite offenses, I think Philadelphia's special teams advantage makes the difference.

McCoy Did His Homework For Dallas Game

SAN FRANCISCO (-1) over Seattle: Arizona's defense made Russell Wilson miserable last week, only the Seahawks won thanks to a no-show by the Arizona offense. I expect the 49ers defense to dominate, and their offense will do enough to win.

Washington (+9.5) over INDIANAPOLIS: Colt McCoy will lose his undefeated record as the Washington starter, but I think he could make it interesting.

HOUSTON (-6.5) over Tennessee: Did you see Tennessee's defense last week? The Texans might rush for 250 yards in this game.

Cleveland (+2.5) over BUFFALO: Josh Gordon is back, which could be the missing piece for a sneaky-good Cleveland team.

BALTIMORE (-5.5) over San Diego: Beware when west coast teams head east for a 1 pm game. Also beware of picking a terrible defense like San Diego's on the road.

New York Giants (-2.5) over JACKSONVILLE: The G-Men looked good in a loss on Sunday, and Jacksonville is much worse than Dallas.

Cincinnati (-4) over TAMPA BAY: The Bengals haven't been great, but the Buccaneers are just plain bad.

ST. LOUIS (-7) over Oakland: See west coast teams heading east. Also, The Rams defense has become a nightmare for opposing quarterbacks.

New Orleans (+4) over PITTSBURGH: This feels like a trap game for the Steelers, who face the division-leading Bengals next week.

Carolina (+3) over MINNESOTA: Neither team is very good, so I'll take Carolina and the points as they come off a bye week.

Sherman Calls NFL Hypocritical

ATLANTA (+2.5) over Arizona: The Arizona offense was miserable at home last week, and I don't know if they can take advantage of a terrible Falcons defense on the road.

GREEN BAY (-3) over New England: The two best quarterbacks in football right now square off on Sunday in what will surely be billed as a Super Bowl preview. I'll take Aaron Rodgers, who looks like a world destroyer when he plays at home.

Denver (-1.5) over KANSAS CITY: Denver hung 39 on a strong Miami defense last week, and I don't think KC has the offensive firepower to win this game.

Miami (-6) over NEW YORK JETS: I would take almost any NFL team against a team starting Geno Smith.
