Anderson "Spider" Silva is a soft-spoken man who nevertheless packs a legendary punch in the octagon. But recently, TMZ was able to get him to be more outspoken and talkative on a host of topics during a red carpet interview in Los Angeles.

Anderson Silva 'Not As Good As They Say' According to Ex-Fight

Silva himself is set to make his return to mixed martial arts against Nick Diaz in January 2015's UFC 183, but TMZ's line of questioning was more concerned with a couple of other hypothetical fighting match-ups.

For instance, Silva was asked to give his thoughts on the potential Floyd Mayweather-Manny Pacquiao fight that we've all been waiting since 2009 for.

“I don’t know, man. It’s a difficult decision,” said Silva, when asked who he think would win, "Mayweather is a great fighter, [but] Manny Pacquiao is faster and strong …I don’t know. I think my opinion is that it’s a great fight for the sport.”

In the end, Silva relunctantly picked Pacquiao, adding: He’s my friend and Freddie Roach is his coach, but Mayweather is a good guy and a good man for the sport.”

When asked whether he could hold his own in a fight vs. Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, however, Silva had a far less histant answer: "No."

Lastly, Silva was asked the defining question of our age, the one in which every person in this world must choose a side: Beyonce or Rihanna?

“I like them both — Beyonce and Rihanna,” Silva said.

“But, Beyonce is the best.”
