Former WCW president and executive producer Eric Bischoff is very familiar with Steve "Sting" Borden, and he recently commented on him making his WWE debut at the Survivor Series on Sunday.

Backstage Plans For Sting In The WWE

Bischoff, who served as WCW executive vice president from 1994 until the company went under in 2001, has plenty of history with Sting from his WCW days.

Like Sting, Bischoff was one of the prominent WCW figures that wrestling fans never expected to work for the WWE, but he debuted on WWE television in 2002 when he became the general manager.

Bischoff also spent time with Sting in TNA in recent years.

WWE CEO and Chairman Vince McMahon tried to lure Sting over to his company for years, but until Sunday's Survivor Series at the Scottrade Center in St. Louis, the former WCW and TNA icon never set foot in a WWE ring.

Now that Sting has officially appeared, Bischoff took to Twitter to share his thoughts on the epic debut.

"Congrats to @sting, @WWE," Bischoff tweeted. "I am very happy and proud to see Sting on a platform he deserves. Great for @WWE and wrestling fans world wide!"

Sting made his first appearance with the WWE at the Survivor Series by getting involved in the main event.

With Seth Rollins remaining as the lone representative for The Authority and Dolph Ziggler the last man standing for Team [John] Cena, Triple H got involved in the action and hit Ziggler with a Pedigree. He then threw Rollins on top of Ziggler in a pinning predicament.

Sting's music then hit and he came out and had a stare down with "The Game." Triple H eventually attempted to hit Sting, but Sting fought him off and nailed the Scorpion Death Drop on him.

Sting then placed Ziggler on top of Rollins and the ref counted to three, causing Triple H and Stephanie McMahon to lose their power.

Sting worked with Bischoff in WCW, where he was booked to win the WCW Heavyweight Championship six times.

There are rumors that Sting will now either face Triple H or The Undertaker in his first ever WWE match -- and possibly the last of his career -- at WrestleMania 31 on March 29 at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, Calif.

Bischoff shocked the world by showing up on Monday Night RAW in 2002, and now Sting has the wrestling world buzzing 12 years later by setting foot in a WWE ring for the first time ever.
