In what is becoming an all too familiar storyline, Derrick Rose expects to return to the court any day now. The former NBA MVP has quite an incredible injury history for someone so young, and the hope is that when he returns this time, he will stay on the court for an extended period of time.

Bryant Retiring When Contract Ends?

Rose first tore his ACL in the first game of the 2012 playoffs, causing him to miss the entire 2012-13 season. He then tore his meniscus shortly after the start of the 2013-14 season, causing him to miss the remainder of the year. After nearly two years away from basketball, Rose played for Team USA over the summer and looked healthy for the first time in recent memory.

It was short-lived however, as Rose turned an ankle early this year leading to some missed games. When the ankle finally healed, Rose hurt his hamstring in his second game back after the ankle injury. His return appears to be near, however. According to Twitter, the point guard says he is pain free, although is unsure whether he will play in tonight's game.

Trouble Brewing In Cleveland? Love Unhappy With Touches

If Rose does miss tonight's game, he feels certain that he will play the next time the Bulls take the court. They could certainly use his help. Entering Monday, Rose had played in only five of Chicago's 13 games. The Bulls are 4-1 in the five games they have played with Rose, but they are just 4-4 in their other eight contests.
