Injured WWE Superstar Daniel Bryan is currently doubtful for a match at WrestleMania 31 in March as there continues to be no timetable for his return.

Bryan underwent neck surgery in mid-May and he is uncertain if he'll have to undergo a second operation to correct a loss of feeling in his arm stemming from the initial procedure.

According to Wrestlingheadlines.com, WWE writers have been told not to include Bryan in any storylines for WrestleMania season due to the uncertainty over his timetable for a return. The writers were told not to factor Bryan into any storylines until further notice because his status remains up in the air.

The WWE has used Bryan on promotional material for the Show of Shows on March 29, 2015 at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, Calif., but that is mostly due to Bryan's connection to the Bay Area.

Bryan and his "Yes" chant were a huge part of the San Francisco Giants' World Series run last season that saw the team win the Fall Classic from the Kansas City Royals in seven games.

Bryan appeared at the Giants' World Series parade and was at last weekend's WrestleMania 31 ticket release party, but the company doesn't expect him to be ready to go by the time the event comes around.

The WWE also slashed their prices on Bryan's merchandise by 60 percent to help clear it out, which could be another sign that he won't be returning soon. Still, Rey Mysterio's merchandise has been placed on sale and he is expected back and the same can be said for Zack Ryder (rotator cuff injury), who is slated to return in six months.

Despite his injury, Bryan was kept in WrestleMania 31 promotional material due to the buzz he created in the Bay Area last month during the Giants World Series run, though it's uncertain if he'll be able to perform in front of the fans at WrestleMania.

Bryan has been out since mid-May after undergoing surgery on his neck to repair damage he accumulated over the years due to his in-ring style. He's gone back and forth over whether or not another procedure is necessary.

Bryan, of course, was a big factor at last April's WrestleMania XXX, where he defeated Triple H in the opening contest and went on to top Randy Orton and Batista in the main event to win the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.

The neck injury eventually forced Bryan to forfeit the gold, which was won by John Cena and then current title-holder Brock Lesnar.

The former champion recently told Comcast Sports Net that he wasn't sure what the next step is for him.

"I'm not actually sure, nobody really knows when I'll be back," Bryan told the program. "I'm hoping to be back in January and be ready for WrestleMania here at Levi's Stadium, but there's no way to know. Right now, there's contemplation of doing a second surgery to my elbow, but we just don't really know. We're doing our best to get me back and healthy."

While Bryan has been a big part of promoting the event, he may not be ready to mix it up in the squared circle by WrestleMania 31 in March.
