Anderson Silva was thought to be recovering from back surgery, but it seems safe to assume that he feels better after photos emerged of him and Jon Jones sparring. The fighters are each gearing up for an upcoming match, and they apparently decided that sparring against each other in Las Vegas made for a fitting tune-up.

Jones Tossed People Through Windows In College?

According to media reports, the two fighters were in Las Vegas for the UFC "The Time is Now" press conference and used some of their free time to get in some practice against each other. No video of the fight is available yet, but UFC President Dana White posted a photo of the two sparring to his Instagram.

Jones later posted a photo of his own to his Twitter account.

Jon "Bones" Jones is the reigning UFC Light Heavyweight champion, and he will attempt to defend his title when he faces Daniel Cormier in January as the main event at UFC 182. Silva, known as "The Spider," will headline UFC 183 when he makes his return to the ring after a year layoff in a match against Nick Diaz.

New Sponsorship for Jones?

Jones is regarded as the best pound-for-pound fighter in the world. Silva, meanwhile, is a mixed martial arts legend, and some even consider him the greatest fighter of all time. The two facing off against each other in a real fight would be a matchup for the ages, even though the fighters are in different weight classes. For now, fans will have to settle for a sparring session.
