Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban really dislikes the Los Angeles Lakers and he didn't pull any punches when asked about the struggling franchise, saying that he hopes they continue to "suck forever."

Cuban appeared on The Fred Roggin Show on a radio station called The Beast 980 in Los Angeles and reveled in the abysmal start for the Lakers.

"Personally, I just hope they suck forever," Cuban told the program, according to ESPN.

Coming off of a season where they finished a franchise-worst 27-55 and missed the playoffs for the first time since 2005, Los Angeles is off to a 2-9 start to the 2014-15 campaign. The one win they acquired through the first 10 games was the team's slowest start in franchise history.

The struggling L.A. franchise isn't getting any sympathy from Cuban, whose Mavericks are off to an 8-3 start and have won four straight games.

Roggin asked Cuban about Los Angeles being a popular place to play, but Cuban said he hopes that even if they attract free agents they won't be good anytime soon.

"As far as the Lakers," Cuban said, "I think there are going to be a lot of teams that are going to be focusing and saying, 'Look, I've got a ton of cap room, free agents A, B and C, why don't you guys come together and come play for me?' And L.A. has always been considered a destination, so maybe they feel there's a valid strategy. You know me, Fred. Personally, I just hope they suck forever."

The Lakers snapped their second four-game losing streak of the season Tuesday when they topped the Atlanta Hawks 114-109 at the Philips Arena in Georgia for their first victory since Nov. 9.

Cuban will hope that the Lakers continue to struggle when the team visits his Mavericks at the American Airlines Center in Dallas on Friday.
