The Warriors took Game 2 from the Spurs in their own building, behind 34 points from sharpshooting two-guard Klay Thompson; the road win was crucial, because it gave Golden State confidence as well as transferred the home court advantage.

"We're in the driver's seat right now," Thompson said. "We control our own destiny. I feel like this is our time. We put in so much work and it's paying off. And it's just beginning. We've got to stay humble."

He went on to say, "Our confidence is at an all-time high. We've shown we can beat this team, and we just have to stay humble about it and keep working hard because it's a long series." In addition to the self-esteem building Game 2 victory, the Spurs are 0-2 this season when playing at Oracle Arena.

The youthful and energetic Warriors have become the story of the postseason, even more so than the Chicago Bulls who are down several starters yet have performed well and even took a game from LeBron James' Miami Heat. Spurs veteran sixth man Manu Ginobili recognizes the serious threat the 3-point chucking Warriors present.

"They did a great job, and we did a really poor job. We've got to give them credit. They played much better than us, and miracles don't happen that often. We didn't deserve Game 1, either. We've got to do better over there, because playing like this, we don't have a chance," Ginobili said.
