With UFC 180 now in the books, fans are surely turning their eyes to UFC 181, which will feature a rematch between the likes of weltweight belt-holder Johny Hendricks and top contender Robbie Lawler. The two previously fought an exciting fight last March, in which Hendricks won via unanimous decision.

Both of the two are known for their bruising style, having accumulated a combined 32 knockouts in their career, which raises the probability that the bout may not go the distance.

Co-featured on the card is a lightweight title fight between current champ Anthony Pettis and challenger Gilbert Melendez.

Late last week Holly Holm announced that she would be withdrawing from her UFC 181 fight with Raquel Pennington, due to a herniated disk in her neck. In addition to Holm, who has still yet to make her UFC debut, light heavyweight figher Gian Villante was also forced to withdraw from his own UFC 181 match against Corey Anderson. Producers are currently searching for a replacement opponent on short notice.

UFC 181 takes place Dec. 6 at Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas. The Hendricks-Lawler rematch and Pettis-Melendez jousts will air on Pay Per View. Its prelims will be available for free through Fox Sports 1 and UFC Fight Pass.
