It appears as though Randy Orton will not take part in the Survivor Series event from his hometown of St. Louis at the Scottrade Center on Nov. 23 while the WWE is possibly planning a multi-team bout for the Tag Team Championships.

Orton was written out of storylines on Monday Night RAW this week after a beat down at the hands of The Authority. Seth Rollins and Kane attacked Orton and were told to "finish him" by Triple H, leading to Rollins delivering a Curb Stomp to Orton on the steel steps.

Orton was written off to begin production on the WWE Studios movie The Condemned 2, which begins filming next week.

It had always appeared as though Orton's schedule could be navigated so that he could participate in the Survivor Series event, though now it appears as though Orton won't be attending the show.

WWE announcer Michael Cole gave a storyline update on Orton and noted on Main Event Tuesday night that "The Viper" is suffering from concussion-like symptoms and facial contusions due to the attack from The Authority Monday night.

Cole also said that Orton isn't cleared to wrestle and indicated that he won't be in action at Survivor Series.

Orton was supposed to be a part of Team Authority, but it appears the WWE has turned him face by having The Authority attack him.

It is possible the WWE tries to throw its fans off and actually has Orton return as a babyface to be a part of John Cena's team at Survivor Series for the Team Cena vs. Team Authority traditional match, but there is no confirmation on that.

Regarding the WWE Tag Team Championships, it appears as though a multi-team match could be in the works for Survivor Series.

Goldust & Stardust defeated The Usos Tuesday night at the SmackDown tapings in Albany for the episode that is set to air on Friday in a Steel Cage Match to retain the gold.

Wrestlingheadlines.com reports that the WWE is looking to build toward a big match for the tag gold on Nov. 23, but nothing has come of that yet based on various reports of what happened at the SmackDown tapings.

Goldust & Stardust won the match cleanly and there was no indication of another match occurring at Survivor Series, unless it was said via headset by the announcers.

There are rumors that Los Matadores will likely get thrown into the mix to make it a multi-team match, but all the details have yet to reach the surface.

The only match confirmed for Survivor Series so far is Team Cena, which consists of John Cena and Intercontinental Champion Dolph Ziggler so far against Team Authority, captained by Seth Rollins and also including Kane. Three more members will be announced for both sides soon.

Other matches that have been rumored include AJ Lee vs. Nikki Bella for the WWE Divas Championship or a Team Brie Bella vs. Team Nikki Bella traditional elimination match, Bray Wyatt vs. Dean Ambrose and Rusev vs. Sheamus for the United States Championship.

It remains to be seen how the card turns out, but Orton will likely not be in St. Louis for Survivor Series on Nov. 23 while there could be big plans for the Tag Team Championships.
