The Green Bay Packers bye week came at the right time last week as it appears as though the break gave quarterback Aaron Rodgers enough time to heal his injured hamstring.

Fresh off of signing a multi-year extension to remain in Green Bay, coach Mike McCarthy said that Rodgers looked good in the team's return from the bye week Monday in practice.

"Aaron did everything today," McCarthy, in his ninth year with Green Bay, said Monday, according to ESPN. "He looked good. He went through the workout today."

The Packers didn't engage in a full-on practice, however the fact that Rodgers was able to move around unimpeded is good news for the status of his hamstring.

Green Bay (5-3) hosts their NFC North rival Chicago Bears (3-5) Sunday night at Lambeau Field. The Packers remain a game back of the Detroit Lions (6-2) in the NFC North standings entering Week 10.

The Packers defeated the Bears 38-17 at Soldier Field in Chicago on Sept. 28 in Week 3.

Rodgers' hamstring limited him in the team's 44-23 loss to the New Orleans Saints in Week 8 on Oct. 26, but he was able to rest up with Green Bay idle in Week 9.

Rodgers is an important piece to Green Bay's potent offense, which also boasts wide receivers Randall Cobb and Jordy Nelson as well as second-year running back Eddie Lacy.

Rodgers wasn't himself in the loss to New Orleans, completing 28 of 39 passes for 418 yards while throwing for just one touchdown compared to two interceptions.

Overall this season, Rodgers is 169-for-250 (67.6 percent) for 2,092 yards with 19 scores and three picks.

Rodgers is the Packers' most important piece, and it looks like it's all systems go for the Super Bowl XLV MVP when the Packers host the Bears this week on Sunday Night Football.
