The game of the week pits the No. 3 Auburn Tigers against the No. 4 Ole Miss Rebels in a matchup of teams that could be heading to the College Football Playoff.

Auburn coach Gus Malzahn spoke about the opportunity to be in such a situation and how a win against Ole Miss will likely cement their spot in the College Football Playoff. The Rebels got bumped from No. 7 in the AP Poll to No. 4 in the College Football Selection Committee vote.

"We've got to go there and we've got to play well to win," Malzahn told the team's official website. "That's the only thing on our mind. We aren't looking ahead to this and that. We are going to Ole Miss and we are trying to win the game.”

The winner of this game will not only have the inside track on one of the top four spots in the country, but could very well jump the No. 2 Florida State Seminoles who struggled to put away No. 25 Louisville on Thursday night. This game is the first elimination game for the College Football Playoff.

Auburn leads the all-time series against Ole Miss 28-10 and the Tigers have won eight of the last 10 games against the Rebels.
