Georgia Southern Eagles (-22.5) (6-2, 5-0 Sun Belt)

The Georgia Southern Eagles look to finish up their season strong as they take on their Sun Belt Conference rival Troy on Thursday Night Football.

Georgia Southern is riding at five-game win streak after starting the season 1-2 and have tightened their grip on the Sun Belt with their 5-0 record in conference. The Eagles will close out their season with three of their four games being against teams in the Sun Belt and every win counts as five teams trail Georgia Southern by one game or less.

Troy comes in having seen better days as they sit at 1-7 and are all, but out of the Sun Belt race. Troy has dropped two straight games against South Alabama and Appalachian State after winning their first game of the season against New Mexico State.

Georgia Southern comes in with the nation’s best rushing attack as they average 402.1 yards per game on the ground and are scoring 44.8 points per game, good for seventh in the country. Georgia State is coming off a 69-31 beat down of Georgia State in which the Eagles rushed for a Sun Belt-record 613 yards and 10 touchdowns.

Georgia State is not bowl eligible as they transition into Division-I, but they can win the Sun Belt outright.
