The No. 2 Florida State Seminoles open up Week 10 of the college football season against the newly ranked No. 25 Louisville Cardinals in an ACC showdown.

Both teams find themselves in a much better position after the College Football Selection Committee released their rankings and not they are looking to improve their position further. The Seminoles find themselves as the nation’s No. 2 team and the Cardinals find themselves ranked for the first time this season.

Florida State coach Jimbo Fisher spoke about the Cardinals and said they provide a unique challenge on defense that the Seminoles must overcome.

"They're one of the top defenses in the country," Fisher said. "They play the run well, play the pass. Create a lot of turnovers.”

Quarterback Jameis Winston spoke about the expectations of this Florida State team and said they have nothing to prove and are just playing football.

"We don't have anything to prove to anybody," said Winston, who is third in the nation in completion percentage at 70.6. "We've just got to keep playing and hopefully things will go our way. But one thing we are consistently proving is that we are winners.”

Florida State leads the all-time series against Louisville 12-2, but the Cardinals snapped a 12-game losing streak to the Seminoles in 2002.
