WWE Intercontinental Champion Dolph Ziggler has never been shy about his disdain for part-time wrestlers, but he recently offered a mixed opinion about the possibility of Sting wrestling a match in WWE.

WWE Monday Night RAW Results For 10/27/14

Ziggler spoke with The Sun about the possibility of Sting facing The Undertaker at WrestleMania 31 in Santa Clara, Calif. at Levi's Stadium on March 29, 2015, and Ziggler said Sting can call out who he wants, but it doesn't mean he's earned a bout.

"Sting can call out whoever he wants, he's a legend in this business," Ziggler told the publication. "Of course, legends can call out whoever they want and do as they please, but they can't just show up and get handed matches."

Still, Ziggler, who has been upset about part-timers like Dwyane "The Rock" Johnson taking spots from guys on the Show of Shows in the past, said he would like to see Sting in a WWE ring.

"I'm all for Sting being involved in any possible way," he said. "Even though I'm sure it will take away from some other young up-and-comer's time, the rare occasion of seeing someone like Sting, who's never been in a WWE ring... just to see him do something would be great for the fans and that's what it is all about."

The WWE Universe has been anticipating a match for Sting ever since word broke that he signed on to be a part of WWE 2K15 and inked merchandise deals with the company.

While that has all happened, Sting has reportedly still not signed a talent contract to wrestle a match despite being in talks with the company for several months and reportedly meeting Vince McMahon during SummerSlam weekend in mid-August.

Sting has been the one former WCW main event wrestler that McMahon has yet to sign to have a match in the WWE despite several years of effort.

It appeared as though Sting vs. The Undertaker would happen on April 6 at WrestleMania XXX from the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans, but the WWE opted to have Brock Lesnar face 'Taker instead.

Sting said he would still like to face The Undertaker at WrestleMania 31 even without The Streak, though it's unknown if the WWE will go that route or if Undertaker will return for one more match with Sting in an Icon vs. Icon buildup.

For what it's worth, The Undertaker reportedly told fans at a recent charity run that he was leaning toward returning for the Show of Shows in 2015.

Sting vs. Undertaker may happen at WrestleMania 31, whether Ziggler or other Superstars like part-time wrestlers or not.
