Tonight at 7 p.m. ET, the New York Rangers (3-3-0, six points) and New Jersey Devils (3-2-0, six points) take the ice at the Prudential Center in New Jersey for their first of four meetings this season. New York kicks off a two-game road trip in search of its third straight victory while New Jersey plays its second home game of the season and second match of a three-game home stand looking to snap a two-game losing streak.

The Rangers are coming off of a 4-0 drubbing of the San Jose Sharks on Sunday.

New York defenseman Dan Girardi suffered a leg laceration against the Sharks, but he is expected to be fine enough to play tonight.

"I've known him for a year, and it'll take a lot to keep him out of the lineup," coach Alain Vigneault said per NHL.com.

The Rangers offense has been paced by Rick Nash, who is off to a red-hot start with an NHL-best seven goals while adding an assist for eight points. Martin St. Louis notched his first tally in Sunday's victory and has four helpers to rank second on the team for five points while Lee Stempniak has found the twine twice and added two assists for four points.

The Devils are coming off of a 4-2 loss to the Sharks on Saturday and will look to bounce back after losing two straight games.

New Jersey's offense has been led by Mike Cammalleri, who has a team-best seven points off of five goals and two assists while Adam Henrique (two markers, three helpers) and Michael Ryder (one goal, four assists) each have five points.

In net, the Devils will likely suit up Cory Schneider, who is 3-2-0 with a 2.97 goals-against average and .908 save percentage while the Rangers are probable to counter with Henrik Lundqvist, who is 3-2-0 with a 3.21 GAA and .821 save percentage.
