Today at 4:05 p.m. ET the Kansas City Chiefs (2-3) and San Diego Chargers (5-1) take the field for Week 7 NFL action live from Qualcomm Stadium in San Diego. The game can be live streamed here. Kansas City fans hear all of the action on KCFX 101.1 while San Diego fans can do the same on KIOZ 105.3.

Kansas City had a two-game winning streak snapped with a 22-17 loss to the San Francisco 49ers two weeks ago that dropped them below .500 and they'll look to bounce back after a bye week while San Diego has been red-hot through the first six weeks and will look for its sixth consecutive win after a 31-28 victory over the Oakland Raiders in Week 6.

Philip Rivers has been a huge part of the Chargers' success as he has had three touchdown passes in each of the team's past five games en route to its longest winning streak in five seasons.

"What it says is that we've had a great five-game stretch," Rivers told ESPN of the success. "It doesn't say any more than that but I think it speaks to the guys catching the football, the guys protecting and the whole group."

Rivers is 138-for-199 (69.3 percent) for 1,756 yards with 15 touchdowns and two interceptions.

Rivers best target thus far this season has been Malcom Floyd, who has 17 receptions for a team-best 362 yards and three touchdowns.

Rookie running back Branden Oliver has also been clutch as he has rushed for a team-high 249 yards on 57 carries while reaching the end zone twice.

Kansas City has dropped two of their three road games thus far this season and has lost 11 of 13 to San Diego in this series.

Knowing this, coach Andy Reid gave the team nearly a full week off in its bye week.

"Listen, I've done it this way for a long time and it's been fairly successful," Reid said per ESPN. "Sometimes I think it's good to step away whether you're doing well or not doing well. Coming off a win or a loss I think sometimes it's good to get away and get recharged."

Chiefs quarterback Alex Smith is 100-for-158 (63.3 percent) for 1,049 yards with eight touchdowns and four picks this season.

Smith has had his best chemistry with Travis Kelce, who has 20 catches for 274 yards with three scores.

Kansas City has a 1-2 punch at running back with Jamaal Charles and Knile Davis, who leads the team with 327 yards on the ground off of 73 carried and has reached the end zone three times.

For San Diego, the statuses of wide receiver Eddie Royal (ribs) and cornerback Brandon Flowers (groin), who was released by Kansas City, are unknown.

The Chiefs look to get back to .500 while the Chargers hope to extend their winning streak to six games when these teams take the field live this afternoon from Qualcomm Stadium in San Diego.
