Former WWE Superstar CM Punk and current WWE Divas Champion AJ Lee were spotted at the Chicago Blackhawks game Wednesday and a fan shared a story of an encounter they had with him while Chris Jericho also recently spoke about working with the "Best in the World."
Punk and Lee were seen at the United Center in their hometown of Chicago Wednesday during the Blackhawks vs. Calgary Flames game, a contest which Chicago lost 2-1 in overtime.
A fan on WrestlingForums.com posted the following description of his encounter with Punk, whose real name is Phil Brooks, at the game.
"I was at the hawks game and [I'm] standing getting food and [I] look to my left and literally [two] feet next to me AJ and Punk are standing," the fan wrote. "Now I am obsessed with both Punk and AJ so [I] had a little heart attack. But what I kind of didn't like is the only think I said to them was, 'Hey Phil can I get a picture please' and he smirked and totally ignored me looking around like he was spacing the hell out."
He added: "I didn't say anything else so he didn't think I was a crazy fan but dude has punk always been like this in public? It seems like he's got a stick up his a-- and doesn't even want to acknowledge his fans that spent lots of money to get him super famous and rich. But at the same time I understand because I am sure he is totally sick and tired of always having people wanting photos with him and [to] talk to him and [ask] him about coming back to WWE. I wasn't going to ask him that but still he should've at least said hi or sorry."
Punk walked out on the WWE back in January due to frustration with the way he was being used and due to the rigorous travel schedule. Punk and Lee got married in June and the WWE Diva took a hiatus from the company from early April to the end of June to move in with him and prepare for the nuptials.
Wrestlingheadlines.com reports that Punk also recently appeared on The Art of Wrestling Podcast to crack jokes with Colt Cabana and was asked if he has anything important to say, to which Punk replied he had nothing to share.
On a related Punk note, Jericho appeared on the Busted Open Radio Show and discussed his feud with Punk a few years ago when they took it to a personal level.
"With the CM Punk feud in 2012, my thing is I wanted to take it to this next level," Jericho said. "I wanted to tattoo him. Vince [McMahon] loved it and then was kind of talked out of it. I think someone got in his ear that there is going to be blood. Plus Vince said he has a million tattoos. Well, it doesn't matter if he has a million tattoos. What if I tattoo my initials on him FOR REAL? Punk was saying, 'Let's do this for real' and that is like being violated. That is why we switched over to the alcoholic thing and I got a lot of hate for that."
