Pittsburgh Panthers (-2)(3-3, 1-1 ACC)

Virginia Tech has fallen from grace since upsetting Ohio State early on in the season and now they have to play their ACC rival Pittsburgh Panthers on Thursday Night Football.

After beating then-ranked No. 8 Ohio State on the road, the Hokies let two straight games slip away against East Carolina (now ranked No. 18) and Georgia Tech. Virginia Tech answered back with two straight wins against Western Michigan and North Carolina.

Pittsburgh has had tougher times than Virginia Tech as they started off hot at 3-0 only to lose their last three games against Iowa, Akron and Virginia. There are no moral victories in this game, but when the Panthers win, they win big and when they lose, they keep it close to the end.

Virginia Tech quarterback Michael Brewer has the tough task of replacing Logan Thomas and he has done well in his first six games at the helm. He has had his ups and downs, but constancy has to be the one thing he comes away with after this season is over.

Virginia Tech leads the all-time series against Pittsburgh 8-5, but the Panthers have won four of their last five matchups against the Hokies.
