The New York Jets are 1-5 and looking for answers and the only one they have found through six games is that Chris Johnson isn't the player they paid for.
According to Pro Football Focus via Rotoworld, the Jets are starting to phase Johnson out of the offense and they aren't hiding it through six games. Pro Football Focus charted how many touches Johnson has received since joining the Jets.

“Chris Johnson played 21 of the Jets' 63 offensive snaps in Week 6. That's 33.3 percent. Slowly but surely, CJdoneK is being phased out of the Jets' offense. His carry totals with New York, in chronological order from Weeks 1-6, are 13, 12, 10, 6, 7, and 3. Johnson is Pro Football Focus' No. 52-graded runner out of 56 qualifiers. He finished last year 48th out of 55.”
Johnson signed with the Jets after being released by the Tennessee Titans this past offseason. The Jets scooped up the once dangerous CJ2K, but as the Titans saw, that player is no longer the one they see before them.
Johnson has 200 yards on 51 carries for the Jets and his longest carry of the season is a 35-yard touchdown Week 4 against the Lions. Johnson finished Sunday’s game against the Denver Broncos with four touches for 11 yards.
The Jets take on their rival New England Patriots on this weeks edition of Thursday Night Football.
