Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver A.J. Green missed the team's 37-37 tie Sunday, but now the veteran believes he won’t play next Sunday either.

Green spoke to ESPN on Sunday and said that he expects to miss the Bengals' next game against the Indianapolis Colts.

Tony Romo Calls Jason Witten the Best Cowboy Ever

“Green added he will see a foot doctor again Friday. At that time, he thinks the Bengals ought to have a clearer idea whether he really will be unable to go next Sunday. It will be his second visit to an area foot specialist, following a doctor's visit this past Thursday. It was also after that visit that Green was told he likely would miss two games. The next day, he showed up at the Bengals walkthrough wearing a black walking boot.”

Green aggravated a toe injury at practice during the week and his status has been in doubt ever since. Green missed the team’s game against the Panthers on Sunday and now expects to miss consecutive games for the first time in his career.

Green’s production was replaced on Sunday by Mohamed Sanu (caught 10 passes for 120 yards and a touchdown) and tight end Jermaine Gresham (caught six passes for 68 yards). Receiver Marvin Jones is expected to join the lineup sometime soon after returning from a series of injuries.

Bengals coach Marvin Lewis says that Green is “day-to-day” and will be reevaluated this week.
