Syracuse Orange (2-3, 0-1 ACC)

The No. 1 Florida State Seminoles go back to work as they take on ACC rival Syracuse on the road at the Carrier Dome.

Florida State coach Jimbo Fisher spoke about the game and said that his team is worried about being as good and dominant as last year’s squad. He is trying to get the message across that it doesn’t matter as long as they play their game.

"I told our kids after the game, 'Go enjoy playing," Fisher said. "It's like the pressure of playing today -- you've got to win, you've got to do this. Are you dominant? Who cares? Who cares if you're as dominant as you were last year? Just keep getting better at being the team you are and enjoy playing the game of football.”

The Seminoles remain undefeated even as all the competition around gets bitten by the upset bug. Florida State could look past this game as they have a showdown with No. 6 Notre Dame next week. Look for the Seminoles to struggle early and then put away a pesky Syracuse team that has given teams trouble in the past.

Florida State leads the all-time series with Syracuse 6-1 and the Seminoles have won six straight games against the Orange. Syracuse’s only win against Florida State was in 1966.
