"The most electrifying man in sports entertainment" returned to the WWE recently when Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson surprised the world earlier this week by showing up on Monday Night RAW, and Triple H recently weighed in on his return and more.
Triple H sat down with Michael Cole for his weekly interview in which they delve into some of the WWE's top storylines, and one of the things they discussed was Johnson's surprise return at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn amid rumors "The Game" may face him at WrestleMania 31.
"One of the most electrifying moments probably in the history of RAW," Triple H said. "For The Rock to come out there, unknown to everybody -- everybody in the back even -- to keep a secret this day in age is a remarkable thing. I just gotta say that it's awesome that as big as The Rock has become outside of the WWE -- you know the biggest star in Hollywood, the highest grossing box office star in Hollywood all those things -- you can really see it when The Rock is here that there is nothing in the world like stepping into the WWE Universe."
Cole then asked Triple H how he pulled off making the move to bring Johnson in and he built up Rusev.
"You know when Rock is in the area and he has the time there's nothing The Rock loves better than to come back to the WWE, Triple H said. "I think it's a testament to Rusev right now that The Rock and his busy schedule found it necessary to come back to Brooklyn to address a certain pair of Russians. That's something because Rock doesn't make that time for anybody."
"The Game" addressed the upcoming match between John Cena and Dean Ambrose at Hell in a Cell with the winner going on to face Seth Rollins in the cell on Oct. 26 in Dallas.
"We're about opportunity and it seems that Ambrose and Cena just keep getting in each other's way of taking advantage of that opportunity," he said. "They wanna fight over whose gonna to get to Seth Rollins first well then so be it. They're gonna get to fight over who gets the opportunity to get to Seth Rollins. The unfortunate part for them is they're going to get Seth Rollins, but they're gonna get him inside Hell in a Cell."
Lastly, Triple H touted the 15th anniversary of SmackDown.
"It's unbelievable," he said. "15 years to go back in time and think about that time. It's unbelievable."
