Oakland Raiders quarterback Derek Carr said he is feeing great following the bye week and expects to start for the team against the San Diego Chargers on Sunday.

Carr spoke to reported after Raider practice on Thursday and said that it would take a great deal to keep him from starting on Sunday.

"It would take a lot for me not to play," Carr said after practice. "It felt really good out there.”

Interim coach Tony Sparano also spoke briefly on Carr’s status for Sunday’s AFC West matchup.

“Interim Oakland coach Tony Sparano said he is going day-to-day with Carr's recovery and wouldn't commit to whether he will play Sunday. But Sparano did say Carr moved away well and had a "good day" Wednesday.”

Carr was injured in the Raiders loss to the Miami Dolphins on September 28 and has used the team’s bye week to heal up. Carr was the Raiders second-round pick out of Fresno State in this year’s NFL draft.

Carr has thrown for 734 yards, four touchdowns and four interceptions for the Raiders this season, but has yet to register his first victory as the tam sits at 0-4. Despite the optimism, Carr is listed as doubtful in the team’s official injury report and could very well miss the game this weekend.
