Where They Stand:
BYU Cougars (4-1)
UFC Knights (-3)(2-2, 1-0 American)

A loss to Utah State last week knocked BYU from the AP Poll Top 25 and gave them their first loss. The Cougars look to rebound against the UCF Knights, but now they do it without quarterback Taysom Hill.

BYU still has plenty of talent, but it could be all for nothing if new quarterback Christian Stewart can’t get the ball rolling early and often. The rest of the Cougars season depends on Stewart in light of losing Hill for the rest of the season due to his leg injury.

The Knights come in and are the favorites against the new-look BYU Tiges, but will they take advantage of the opportunity? Quarterback Justin Holman and wide receiver Breshad Perriman should have their way with the BYU secondary, but establishing a run game will determine if the Knights can win this one.

This one should be a close contest until the end and the game will depend on Stewart for the Cougars and establishing the run game for the Knights. Who ever gets out in front early could end up coming away with the win.

BYU won the only meeting between these two teams back in 2011. The Cougars came out on top 24-17 in the matchup.
