Texas A&M quarterback Kenny Hill can cement his place in the Heisman Trophy race and move one more step closer to a national championship if his No. 6 Aggies can top the No. 12 Mississippi State Bulldogs.

Hill spoke about the Aggies' narrow 35-28 win over Arkansas last week and said that in the SEC, games like that are going to happen. Hill maintains that it will have no impact on this weekend's showdown.

"We can compete with people in the SEC," Hill said. "I mean, we didn't play our best (last Saturday), but we still competed and came out with a win. ... I think that shows us, more than anything, we can come back from a deficit like that and we can still come out with a win.”

Mississippi State's Dak Prescott will look to knock off the Aggies and prove he is the best quarterback in the SEC as his Bulldogs come in as a two and one half point favorite. The winner of this matchup will be vaulted into the national championship conversation.

Texas A&M leads the all-time series against Mississippi State four games to three and the Aggies have won the past two matchups between the two schools.
