With WWE World Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar not scheduled for Hell in a Cell on Oct. 26 at the American Airlines Center in Dallas the card has been very much up in the air, but it appears as though the plans are starting to take shape.
John Cena Discusses His Feud With Seth Rollins
There were previous reports that John Cena would take on Dean Ambrose in an upcoming episode of Monday Night RAW with the winner going on to battle Seth Rollins in a Hell in a Cell match at the pay-per-view while the loser would either take on Randy Orton in a singles match or be the "keeper of the key" to the lock of the cell.
According to The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the current plan is to have Cena vs. Ambrose in a singles match kick off Hell in a Cell and the winner of that match would main event the show with Rollins in the cell while the loser will battle Orton in the middle of the show, also in a cell.
Mick Foley Believes CM Punk Should Return At WrestleMania 31
The report indicates that the WWE is set to finalize the plans for the show over the weekend and will likely make an announcement regarding the main matches on the card come this Monday night on RAW.
The card has been somewhat of a mystery ever since Night of Champions came and went on Sept. 21 at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville.
Due to Lesnar's part-time schedule, he is not currently slated to take part in Hell in a Cell and the WWE has seemingly tried to figure out a way to sell the show with interesting matches without its champion in attendance.
Two other rumored matches for Hell in a Cell are a Divas Championship match between AJ Lee and Paige and a singles match between Nikki and Brie Bella.
There was a rumor that the Bella twins might go head-to-head in a cell match, but that seemed farfetched and is almost out of the question now.
WWE Hell in a Cell takes place live from the American Airlines Center in Dallas on Oct. 26.
