CM Punk left the WWE back in January and hasn't been back since and WWE Hall of Famer Mick Foley recently speculated on whether or not there is room for the "Best in the World' to return to the WWE.

Foley took to his official Facebook page and wrote that he hopes to see Punk return to the ring, possibly by WrestleMania 31 on March 29, 2015 at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, Calif.

"Is there a future for CM Punk in #WWE? I have always liked Punk and respected the way he marched to the beat of his own drummer," Foley wrote. "While there is part of me that thinks we have seen the last of Punk in the world of sports -entertainment, I can't help but wonder if that beat he marches to will lead him straight to a huge event at #Wrestlemania."

Foley said he believed that Punk's promos could add a lot in a positive way to WWE television.

"Certainly, his promos alone would make WWE Monday Night Raw must-see TV, and the mere prospect of seeing an angry Punk, with a chip on his shoulder, could create any number of scenarios for memorable Mania match ups," he said.

Foley added: "Only Punk knows for sure...and he's not talking."

Punk walked out on the WWE back in January due to frustration over the way his character was being used and from being burned out from the rigorous travel schedule of the company.

There were a lot of chants for Punk this past Monday on RAW due to the fact that it was from his hometown in Chicago, and Stephanie McMahon addressed him when the crowd was cheering for him and wondered why the WWE fans always chant for quitters.

McMahon had said on WGN Morning News earlier Monday morning that she can "never say never" regarding a possible return to the ring for Punk.

Punk himself said never as when he was asked about a possible return to the squared circle at the AP Music Awards, he said he was "never ever" returning to the ring.

Regarding Monday's RAW, Wrestlingheadlines.com reports that CM Punk fan signs were being confiscated at the Allstate Arena on Monday night.

While Foley is hopeful that Punk will return by WrestleMania, it's doubtful that the "Best in the World" will return.
