The No. 22 Ohio State Buckeyes look to avoid dropping to 2-2 as they play the undefeated Cincinnati Bearcats out of the American Conference.

Ohio State coach Urban Meyer stressed the team’s playing ability again this week and said that if this team plays at it’s best they are very hard to beat.

"We have to be at our best," Meyer said Monday. "I expect us to be that. On the bye week we practiced Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, last week, back at it today and we're ready to go.”

Ohio State haven't lost to an in-state school since a 7-6 defeat against Oberlin in 1921 and has won 44-straight games against in-state opponents.

Ohio State escaped Cincinnati in 2012 when the Buckeyes were undefeated. The Bearcats dropped a pair of touchdown passes in the end zone against that Buckeye team and lost 23-19. Ohio State went on to win the national championship that season.

Cincinnati earned their two victories against Toledo and Miami (OH) while the Buckeyes have topped Navy and Kent State, but lost to Virginia Tech at home.

Ohio State has won the last 10 games between the teams and leads the all-time series 13-2. The Bearcats won back-to-back games against the Buckeyes in 1896 and 1897.
