While Roman Reigns' injury may have put a halt on the WWE's plans for its biggest show of 2015, it is expected that Reigns, Daniel Bryan and Batista will all be back in action for WrestleMania 31 at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, Calif. on March 29, 2015 and the plans may not change that much.
Sports World News Projected Card For WWE Hell in a Cell
It has been widely rumored for a while now that Reigns -- who has already started his monster push -- would win the Royal Rumble match in January and go on to face Brock Lesnar at the Show of Shows for the World Heavyweight Championship.
Reigns' match with Seth Rollins this past Sunday night at Night of Champions in Nashville had to be canceled due to Reigns undergoing emergency surgery on a hernia this past Saturday which is slated to sideline him for at least a few months.
Triple H Discusses Roman Reigns' Injury And Surgery
Wrestlingheadlines.com reports that Dean Ambrose is slated to be pushed as the No. 2 guy behind John Cena in Reigns' absence, but the plans for 'Mania should stay intact as Reigns will be back before the Royal Rumble and the WWE could continue to build toward a Lesnar vs. Reigns WrestleMania main event even if the injury somewhat derails Reigns' course.
As for Bryan, he was the No. 2 guy and some could argue even the No. 1 guy when he won the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania XXX. Bryan has been sidelined since mid-May with a neck injury that also derailed his push.
There were rumors for a while that Bryan would need a second surgery after he lost feeling in his arm following the initial procedure, but he reportedly doesn't need a second operation and could be back between Survivor Series on Nov. 23 or the Royal Rumble in January.
Regarding Batista, there have been rumors that he may leave WWE full-time to focus on more acting roles after departing in June to promote the summer blockbuster Guardians of the Galaxy, but it is expected he'll have some sort of role at WrestleMania 31.
A lot can change in six months, but for now Reigns, Bryan and Batista are slated to appear at WrestleMania 31 on March 29, 2015 at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, Calif.
