The Seattle Seahawks topped the Denver Broncos 26-20 in an overtime thriller, but there was more excitement for Seahawks defensive back DeShawn Shead after the game.

Shead had asked his girlfriend, Jessica Martinez, to meet him on the field after the game and then the defensive back asked her to marry him in front of family and his teammates. Once on the field, the stadium’s big screen showed about a dozen of Shead's teammates, including cornerback Richard Sherman, surrounding the couple on the field.

Shead then got down onto one knee, gave Martinez a bouquet of roses and popped the question. Martinez said yes and the rest of the Seahawks showed their approval for the newly engaged couple. The couple was then interviewed by local news affiliates about their new engagement.

Luckily for Shead, the Seahawks topped the Broncos and improved to 2-1 on the season instead of losing an possibly runing his planned proposal. The Seahawks head into their bye week next and then travel to Washington to play the Redskins on Monday Nigth Football.
