The Big Ten and Pac-12 face-off as Michigan and Utah play for the third time in their history.

Michigan coach Brady Hoke spoke about this Utah team and said they can score in bunches while holding their opponents at times.

“They’re [Utah] a football team that’s scored a lot of points and hasn’t given up many points.”

Utah head coach Kyle Whittingham had a similar take on the Wolverines and he believes that this ‘typical’ Michigan can be beaten by sticking to the game plan.

“We know they are a typical Michigan team. Good athletes all over the place. Physical up front, on the line of scrimmage, particularly the offensive line, very physical. Very good defensive line. #57 [Frank Clark] is a very good player - active, tough. They are a talented team, and we have to be ready to play our A game, without a doubt.”

Utah is coming off impressive wins against Fresno State and Idaho State, while Michigan beat Miami (OH) 34-10 after being embarrassed 31-0 by No. 9 Notre Dame.

Michigan and Utah have split two meetings all-time with the last game going to the Utes as they beat the Wolverines 25-23 in Rich Rodriguez’s first game as coach.
