Today at 1:00 p.m. ET the Houston Texans (2-0) will be aiming to surpass their 2013 win total when they take on the struggling New York Giants (0-2) at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey. The Texans have kicked off the year with two dominant wins that were led by a re-invigorated defense. J.J. Watt is the defensive star, but the unit has been a ballhawking terror as a whole.

"That's something that we ... drive on, even in practice," free safety Kendrick Lewis said. "It showed up in the game. Guys going after the ball, no matter if it's a running back breaking through, if it's a receiver catching the ball and turning up. We're stripping at the ball, trying to cause turnovers any way we can."

The defense is missing one of its key components too, since rookie DE/LB Jadeveon Clowney left Houston's Week 1 win with a knee injury. Watt has been good enough for two defensive ends, with two tackles, a swatted pass, a sack and fumble recovery. He also commands double teams, or even triple teams or else he wreaks havoc.

The Giants' offense has been disastrous through two games, and even though quarterback Eli Manning showed improvement, turnovers did them in. They started the 2013 season 0-6, and despite a furious rally, finished just 7-9. Manning said they can't afford to start that slowly again.

"I think when you are 0-2, you want to get a win soon," Manning said. "We have the Texans coming in and we have another home game, so hopefully we've got to get better, but we have to do it soon. We don't have a whole lot of time to keep waiting to get better."
