No. 13 Georgia missed out on an opportunity to catapult themselves into elite company in college football, when they fell to the then-No. 24 South Carolina Gamecocks 38-35 in the final seconds of the game.

Georgia is back and they are looking to get back on track toward a national championship. That road starts with 0-3 Troy at home. Heisman Trophy hopeful Todd Gurley rushed for 131 yards on 20 attempts against South Carolina, but was denied to opportunity to score the game winning touchdown for the Bulldogs on the Gamecocks 4 yard-line.

Gurley said he hasn't lost focus and he has his sights on Troy.

"Right now, I'm not focusing on the East, I'm focusing on Troy," Gurley said. ”I don't care what South Carolina does, I don't care about nothing else but Troy right now. The East doesn't mean anything to me right now.”

Gurley has to be licking his chops to get a piece of Troy as the Trojans allow an average of 233.7 rushing yards a game. When asked about who Gurley reminds him of, Troy coach Larry Blakeney gave the running back a very lofty comparison.

"I think Knowshon has proved his worth in the NFL, but this guy Gurley reminds me more of a guy nobody will forget at Georgia, and that's Herschel," Blakeney said Monday. "I think he's in that class.”

Troy has lost 12 straight games to ranked opponents by an average of 21.7 points and the Bulldogs are 36-1 at home against non-conference teams since 2001.
