No. 20 Kansas State Wildcats (2-0, 1-0 Big 12)

Thursday night football features two ranked teams as the No. 5 Auburn Tigers play the No. 20 Kansas State Wildcats.

Auburn will use this matchup as their last tune up before they face the gauntlet in the SEC. In the coming weeks the Tigers will face No. 8 LSU, No. 14 South Carolina, No. 10 Mississippi, No. 6 Texas A&M, No. 13 Georgia and No. 3 Alabama.

Coach Gus Malzahn spoke about the game and said that the team is looking to get better every week and they are not looking past the No. 20 Wildcats.

"We are going to work on improving ourselves and try to get a head start," Malzahn said. ”We are playing a very good team on the road with one of the better coaches that has ever walked the planet. We will have to have a good plan and have to be prepared.”

Kansas State comes in at 2-0 with wins against SF Austin and Iowa State, but the Tigers will be a whole different breed of test for the Wildcats. A win against the Tigers would go a long way toward proving the Wildcats are a legitimate contender as well as score a huge won for the Big 12.

Auburn is 3-0 against Kansas State all-time and the Wildcats have lost six straight matchups against nonconference Top 25 opponents.
