Detroit Lions running back Reggie Bush might have landed himself in hot water after he answered a question on a radio show about disciplining his children.
Bush appeared on WFAN's "Boomer and Carton” show and said that he also disciplines his one-year-old daughter. Bush even came to the aid of Vikings running back Adrian Peterson in light of his own child abuse situation.
“I definitely will try to — will obviously not leave bruises or anything like that on her. But I definitely will discipline her harshly depending on what the situation is.”
Bush later backtracked on the comments and said that he misspoke and than he would never leave marks on his daughter. Bush said he would decline to comment on the question given the chance to go back.

Bush’s comments come at an inopportune time as the Vikings chose to ban Peterson from the team while he goes through the judicial system concerning his child abuse case. It is not known if Bush will be subject to an investigation or punishment, but he definitely did not pick a great time to defend a fellow player.
Bush has 96 total yards for the Lions through two games on 15 carries and eight receptions. Bush is coming off his second-career 1,000-season and his first as a member of the Lions. The former second-overall pick out of USC registered 1,512 yards from scrimmage in 2013.
