Florida State coach Jimbo Fisher has suspended reigning Heisman Trophy winner Jameis Winston for the first half of this weekends game due to making obscene comments around campus Tuesday.
Fisher announced the punishment during Wednesday's ACC teleconference and said that this type of behavior has no place at Florida State.

"It was not a good decision," Fisher said. ”You can't make certain statements that are derogatory or inflammatory to any person, race or gender. You have to understand that. You have to be very intelligent about what you say, (because) it matters.”
"We're deciding. We're talking and things [are] going on right now," Fisher said of Winston's status before the punishment was announced. "It's not something that we want or are indicative of. And it's not a good decision. It was something that had to be addressed.”
Reports surfaced Tuesday that Winston was seen around campus standing on tables and screaming obscenities. Students of Florida State flooded Twitter concerning the incident and pinned Winston the culprit.
Winston has a list of incidents to his name including being investigated in 2013 for sexual assault, stealing soda in ketchup cups and stealing crab legs. Now Winston finds himself in the news again for a situation he could have prevented.
No. 1 Florida State plays No. 22 Clemson at home on Saturday and will be without their Heisman winning quarterback for the first half.
