The NFL has announced the first round of modern-era candidates nominated for induction into the Pro Football Hall of Fame Class of 2015.
The list contains 99 players and 14 coaches, the most prominent of which are first-year eligible players quarterback Kurt Warner, linebacker Junior Seau, receivers Isaac Bruce and Torry Holt, tackle Orlando Pace, and kicker Jason Elam.

The voting committee will narrow the list of 133 players and coaches down to 25 by the end of November before selecting the class of 2015. Other notable players waiting to be inducted are running back Jerome Bettis, receivers Tim Brown and Marvin Harrison, guard Will Shields, safety John Lynch, and kicker Morten Andersen.
The early indications are that Warner, Seau and Pace are all a lock to make the Hall of Fame on their first attempt, but after those three the ballot gets cloudy. Bruce and Holt cause a logjam at the wide receiver position and that doesn't do Brown or Harrison any favors. Harrison was thought to be a favorite to make the hall in 2014, but Andre Reed was inducted instead.

Coaches Tony Dungy, Bill Cowher, Don Coryell and Mike Holmgren also make up the list of eligible candidates and Dungy was among the finalists in 2014.
Between four and eight new members will be selected. Inductions will be in August at Canton, Ohio, site of the Hall of Fame.
