WWE Hall of Famer Jake "The Snake" Roberts was hospitalized in Las Vegas earlier this month and he gave a Twitter update on his health and condition after he was taken to the hospital for several ailments.

Roberts recapped the last couple of weeks on Twitter in a series of tweets as he remains in Las Vegas following him experiencing chest tightening and shortness of breath on his flight out there for Sinn Bodhi's wrestling event.

"Wow, what a scary couple of weeks. So appreciative to be alive & on the mend. Thank u all for the love and support. I will keep you posted," Roberts wrote.

Roberts thanked fans for their support and said he just needs to focus on recovering.

"Need a bit more time to recover. I will be back to normal & out there thanking all of you for the kindness and support in a couple weeks," Roberts tweeted.

He added: "Pneumonia did some serious damage. Sickest I've ever been. Healing time ??? Just unsure how long. Hospital and dr. super.double icy no joke."

Roberts said his recovery period should be a long one as he will heal slowly.

"Will b slow recovery [as] need biopsy on lungs and another area. Test next week also. Attitude and attention to detail was the word of day," he wrote.

Roberts also discusses his daughters surprising him.

"Well a good dog gets a bone every now and then. Received great [surprise] and moment that has lifted my spirits out of space," he tweeted.

He added: "Great moment all weekend for me as two of my beautiful daughters have come to town with more TLC that I've ever been blessed with. Awesome"

Roberts closed out his health updates by saying how blessed he is and thanking the WWE:

Roberts has had many battles with his health and personal demons over the years, which includes a bout with cancer and substance abuse, but he was able to clean himself up with the help of Diamond Dallas Page and DDP Yoga.

Roberts was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame on April 5 in New Orleans in what was his crowning achievement and the culmination of all of his success in the squared circle.
