No. 15 Stanford Cardinal (-28.0)(1-1, 0-1 Pac-12)

The No. 15 Stanford Cardinal find themselves back in action against the Army Black Knights a week after dropping a game they probably should have won against hated rival USC.

Stanford coach David Shaw preached resiliency to his team this week and made it a point to mention that making the NCAA playoff is not out of the question with one loss.

"Resilience is a sign of any good football team," coach David Shaw said. "It's hard to go undefeated. It's hard to win every single game. Few teams have ever done it. The good ones are the ones who come back and still fight for everything they can the rest of the year, and we're in that mode right now.”

Stanford outgained USC 413 to 291 yards but committed two turnovers, eight penalties for 68 yards and Jordan Williamson missed two of three field goals.

Army comes in 1-0 after a win against Buffalo and playing Stanford will be the biggest challenge they will face this season. Army will look to establish the run early and often while attempting to control the clock.

Stanford leads the all-time series with Army 6-5 and the Cardinal topped them last year to the tune of 34-20. This is Army’s first trip to Stanford since 1979.
