The No. 2 Oregon Ducks struck first blood with the NCAA selection committee with a commanding victory over Michigan State Spartans, then ranked No. 7, but now they have to keep up the pace against an undefeated Wyoming team.

Hesiman Trophy hopeful Marcus Mariota has been superb this season and he believes the Ducks will not suffer from a hangover after such a huge win.

"Our mentality is still the same," Mariota said. "I thought (Monday's) practice was one of the better ones we've had this year, and that's a token to our team. Our attitude won't change. We'll continue to get better and we're looking forward to another one on Saturday.”

Wyoming comes in allowing only 12 points per game and have shut down both Montana and Air Force in their two games this season. The question for the Cowboys is can they score any points when the defense eventually fails on them?

Wyoming needs to jump out early in this one or risk getting run over by the freight train that is the Oregon Ducks. The Ducks have bigger games ahead and will face No. 12 UCLA on October 11 and No. 15 Stanford November 1.
