A solid noon matchup Saturday involves the Missouri Tigers of the SEC taking on a well-rested and angry Central Florida team.

The Tigers have come out the gate red hot and quarterback Maty Mauk is making his claim as the best quarterback in the SEC. Mauk has thrown for 503 yards and eight touchdowns in two games and has the No. 20 Tigers poised to make some noise in the SEC.

Missouri coach Gary Pinkel spoke about Mauk's progression and said that he ha to potential to take the team to new heights.

"Maty really played well," Pinkel said. "He's going to learn a lot from this game. It's only his sixth start. There's a lot of little things he needs to do better."

"He's a very poised guy," Pinkel said. "Plus he's a great competitor and that's what great quarterbacks are made of. He's only going to get better and better with more experience.”

The UCF Knights see their first piece of action since they lost Week 1 against Penn State in Ireland. The Knights are expected to start Justin Holman at quarterback after starting Pete DiNovo Week 1. The Knights looked like two different teams in that game and were clearly better with Holman under center.

Coach George O’Leary confirmed Holman will get the start.

"I think game lights go on and everybody reacts different. But Holman will get the nod," O'Leary said. "We'll see if he can continue doing what he did.”

These teams have only met once before and Missouri won that matchup 21-16 in 2012.
